Cancellation of South Wirral Country Fair May 2008

With very much regret, the South Wirral Country Fair has been totally abandoned for the 3 days.
During a routine site inspection, waterlogged ground conditions (caused by heavy rain over the last few days) forced the implementation of preventative measures of constructing temporary roadways.
No roadway was available in the UK due to exceptionally high demand caused by the wet season, officials acting on behalf of Liability Insurers (with safety in mind) surveyed the showfields and car parks and found it totally unsuitable to continue the construction of the event.
With the prevailing forecast and the unlikely improvement of ground conditions, the operation of the event was stopped immediately and organisers were forced to accept the inevitable.
For visitors who have purchased advanced tickets, full refunds will be given on redemption or as the tickets are transferrable they can be utilised at any of the other events listed on the back of the ticket.
The management apologises for any inconvenience this cancellation may heve caused.
Exhibitor Information
The organisers regret and understand the loss caused to exhibitors.
The Garden Festival Company will try to Refund as much of the trade stand fees as possible as per the terms and conditions.
The amount of refund will be reviewed and decided by the cancellation insurers.
The subsequent decision by the insurers may take some time and we ask you to be patient regarding this matter.
We are now working for you to recover as much as we possibly can.
